What Inspired the Name "Theraluma?"

The owner of Theraluma’s dog who inspired the name: sitting next to a Christmas tree

Our owner, Brittany Kark was inspired in part by she and her husband's dog, Luna (seen in this picture December 2021). 


The word 'luna' comes from Latin origin meaning "moon." The moon is often a bright light that can shine even in the darkest of skies, just as we need in life, too. Luna was certainly a bright light in our lives, with the most fitting of names.

The name Theraluma has two parts:

Thera-derived from Therapy &

Luma- derived from illuminate 


For us at Theraluma, we believe in the concept of inner light and mental health therapy, where you can illuminate the world with your presence, healthy actions, and by showing up for yourself every day. Even nature show us this belief in its beauty daily!
