A superbill is an itemized receipt needed for patients to submit claims to their insurance companies for reimbursement.

The superbill process is listed below:

  1. The client pays the provider directly for services rendered.
  2. The provider provides the client with the superbill.
  3. The client submits the claim, utilizing the superbill, to their insurance company for reimbursement.
  4. Client's insurance provider reviews claim and provides reimbursement directly to client.
*Note: reimbursement rates and approvals may vary with insurance providers. Please contact your insurance provider prior to your therapy session regarding superbills.

  • Thank you for taking the first step with your mental health wellness!
  • It is alright to have a variety of thoughts and emotions when it come's to your first therapy session.
  • The first session can seem like a lot of questions and focus on information gathering. Some questions are answered prior to the first session by the new client forms you will have completed in your client portal.  Not all sessions will be like the first! Our therapeutic providers value connection, communication, and compassion which comes with continued therapy sessions.
  • It's ok if it is not a good fit between you and your therapist. Please let us know if there is anything that Theraluma can do to provide the best therapeutic experience for all.
  • "We listen and we don't judge." It can be tough being vulnerable to someone you just met, as in the case with therapy! Our focus at Theraluma is providing support to our clients- free of judgement.
